Serpico was a brilliant film Pacino was not so hammy in that one.

Godfather is another where he kept things quite minimal.

Another actor who is only really famous for a few roles, the more famous of which he performed so brilliantly that I believe it seriously affected his health. Jeremy Brett.

There is also a comic actor or two that deserve a mention - from recent years I'd say Eddie Murphy (for his role as donkey in Shrek mainly) and also Gene Wilder and Marty Feldman.

Thurman, Hardy, Jackson, Streep, de Niro, Pacino, Brando, di capro, Depp, Cruise isn't too bad actually, agree with Lemon And Matthau, all the python team are quite good, gervaise!, Who was that bloke in Withnail and I, Jack Dee, whatsisname in I deal, Miiligan and Cooper, I know comedians but still acting, peep show and mighty boosh boys, Michael Hordern, bloke who was in Django and inglorious bastards, and the English bloke who gave himself away in the same film, Brad pitt
